Report:   

A tough match to start our season in Division 1, not helped by the allocated match official not turning up. We were forced onto the back foot

for much of the first half and were unable to get much quality ball up to the front two. We lost Alex within a minute when he fell awkwardly and hurt his wrist

and was unable to continue. We managed to get to half-time 2-0 down, but Pelican continued to press getting to 4-0, three of the goals coming from very fast breaks from the forwards. Late on we managed to pull back two goals, and almost had a 3rd, but from our miss the ball was booted down the pitch and Pelican got another goal. We have to improve to give a better account of ourselves against what is obviously from today's opposition a step up in quality.
