Report:
This was always going to a tough game against a team that outplayed us in every arewa earlier in the season although on that day we didn’t play well.
This was dunkirks last game and a win would give them at least a play off for the league thats assuming that calverton win their remaining games.
Dunkirk started off determined to score early and had a couple of half chances, we battled well and played the ball around well without really threatening their goal.
The first goal came by a mistake at the back which let them in to score.
We replied within two minutes with the ball played down the wing for tom staples to cross and cameron with a fine strike to equalise.
For the rest of the half we grew more confident and looking at the sidelines they knew they were to play at the top of their game to beat us.
Just before half-time they had a corner which we failed to clear and they scored in the six yard box.
We started well in the 2nd half and had alot of possession without troubling their goalie, they always looked threatening on the break but we did defend well it seemed the ball was coming through our defence far to often . they got the 3rd goal on a break that was game over we did carry on battling but never created another clear chance.
On the whole a good battling performance by us, just hope we can carry this on for the last two matches of the season.
