Report:
We knew this game wouldn’t be easy although Vernon were in the bottom three you only had to look at their previous results to see that they had only lost by the odd goal against the top two teams.
We gave them an advantage to start with by playing well below par, we were second to the ball when we did have time never looked up to find our players and were generally off the pace.
Vernon's goal summed up the first half. They passed it from inside their own half right through to the other side of the pitch unchallenged and scored an easy goal.
2nd half they carried on until they scored a lob over our goalie. With 12 minutes to go and a bit more effort from our lads, tom staples had a speculative shot from the outside of the box which was on target but for some reason their goalie seemed to let it go in the net, after that we were on top but we had to wait until the last minute to make it 2-2 when brad scored from inside the box, we hadn’t time to have another attack. In the end i think a fair result
