Report:

The Cup competitions are well known for throwing up some giant-killing stories, however, this was not the case at Lambley Lane where the Orange U10's bagged a dozen.

The U10's were in rampant form and Hayniey opened the scoring early in the first half finishing at close range from Aaron's corner. Hat tricks from Elliott and Luke with Brad scoring 2, Harry Macaauley and Dan ensured a place in the next round of the competition.

Substitutions at half time saw Ryan, Elliott and Harry enter the game with Harry scoring and elliott scoring his hat trick. Ryan, sporting his new florida blond streaks, came close to scoring after a goal scramble but the keeper managed to hold on to the ball. Macauleys cheeky lob over the keeper summed up the confidence of this side. At the heart of the defence he was on hand to stop any attacks the opposition made.

The Orange goal was never really threatened, so much so that Dan enjoyed a second half run out down the left wing providing some pace, skilful dribbling and crosses into the box. Ben stood in for Dan during the second half and performed well when needed. Orange dominated throughout skillfully playing the ball around the pitch with all players linking well with each other.

It has to be said that Gedling Southbank must consider themselves very unfortunate to come up against such a strong and well organised side.

Orange, still unbeaten in competetive football this season, go marching on  into the next round of the cup.
