Report:

The unbeaten run remains intact and another clean sheet for the under 10's.

On a crisp, sunny afternoon at Ley Street the under 10's took all three points from a team playing in a way

that belied their current position in the division. This game, at times, was more like a top of the table clash.

Orange had to work harder than in recent games but showed good composure.

The Lions did not allow Orange to settle on the ball and during the first half they looked the more likely team

to score twice firing just wide from close range. Orange were overrun at times and it took some excellent

defensive work from Macauley and Elliott to keep the Lions from opening the scoring. Luke almost scored

but the keeper pulled off a magnificent save at point blank range to deny Orange opening the score.

They rode their luck at times but their defensive play worked very well.

With the half time score level at 0 - 0 it looked like one goal would settle the match.

A tactical substitution 5minutes into the second half paid dividends when Ben , replacing Harry,

fired in from close range with his first touch of the ball after the goalkeeper had failed to collect an optimistic lob into the box from Brad.

Lions almost equalised within minutes when a shot from their number 10 crashed against the post.

The Lions never gave up fighting but when the final whistle came the Orange had held on to claim all three points and continue their march up the table.
