Report:

Orange and Vernon colts shared the points of a game played on a rain soaked mud bath of a pitch. It was a game that neither side could truly manage to dominate. Vernon had their fair share of chances with two shots hitting the post and a number of efforts going just wide and over the bar. One effort saw the mudbath in the goalmouth slow down the ball enough to stop it crossing the line as Ben pounced onto it.When they also managed to shoot wide from 4 yards out with Ben to beat in goal it was apparent that this would end goalless and Orange could consider themselves lucky.

Ben was playing in goal as Dan had an injury to his finger. It was Ben who kept Orange in the game with a number of brave saves diving down at the strikers feet. He also tucked a goalbound shot round the post in the final minutes. He collected the ball well from corners which vernon were whipping in.

Orange's chances came from Luke who fired just wide from croses supplied by Brad and Dan. Brad came close after a great run but his shot was safely collected by the keeper. Dan showed he had not lost his outfield skills when he slotted back into his left sided midfield role linking up nicely with Brad and Elliott and supplying some decent crosses into the box.

Compared to recent Orange games this was a quiet affair and Orange will be hoping to put together another unbeaten run in the league.
