Report:

During the first half there was nothing to separate the two teams and at the interval we went in scoreless. Second half with us kicking down hill we had most of the possession and like in other matches with lack of concentration at the back we conceded a sloppy goal but then within a few minutes with the pressure we were putting on their team we were awarded a penalty as Jamie was brought down in the box. Dillon on recent performances has been hitting the target, he took the penalty and brought the score back to 1-1. Both teams had chances but with both keepers on form the final score was 1-1 and extra time loomed with five minutes each way. We kicked off how we had started the second half and soon Dillon had put us in front with his second goal of the match. We seemed to be hanging on with both teams looking very tired as the pitch was becoming more and more boggy and players were losing their footing but with only seconds to go we conceded a well taken goal which took the tie into penalties and sudden death. We chose our five penalty takers and after all five were taken for both teams there was still nothing to separate the two teams and we then went into sudden death of which Dillon went up first and scored, the opposition missed, we went through winners 3-2 on penalties. Well done to Callum in goal who kept us in the tie and the rest of the lads who ALL played their part in today’s game.
