Report:
This week saw is playing against unbeaten Radcliffe Olympic.
Things started off very well, Matthew hit the post and Scott slotted home the rebound. Joe added a second and despite Radcliffe pulling one back, Netherfield went 3-1 up after Martin scored an excellent long-range effort. Radcliffe again pulled a goal back to trail 3-2 at half time.
Connor put the colts 4-2 up running onto an excellent through ball before shooting past the out rushing keeper. With twenty minutes left Radcliffe upped their game scoring four unanswered goals. Netherfield were a little unlucky, Matthew hit the post and Joe forced a great save from the Radcliffe keeper. But Radcliffe deserved their 6-4 victory, their players just seemed to want it more.
Hopefully this will work as a wake up call. We had been lucky in our previous games, switching off at half time. We must pass the ball and play as a team for both halves, or it will be a very long season. One high light was Connors continued improvement, if everyone had put in the same amount of effort the result could have been different.
