Criminal Records Bureau - Police Security Check

With child protection services so high on the educational and political agendas these days I feel it is necessary for me to add this page to my website detailing information about police checks that I have had to go through in recent years and the results from those checks. At the start of my NQT year (Summer 2001) I was checked by Hertfordshire County Council and Hertfordshire Constabulary. Their check found NO TRACE and I can show the letter confirming that to any school at any time. Early in July 2002 I filled in a CRB form for the Select Supply Agency. This form was lost and therefore it was never sent to the CRB. A new CRB form was filled in at the end of August when I registered with the Hertfordshire LEA Supply List. It is currently awaiting clearance. Once the clearance notification has arrived new information will be posted here. On September 19th 2002, Hertfordshire County Council Children, Schools and Families, while waiting for the complete CRB check to come through, compared my name to the recently much publicised List 99. No match was found. The List 99 check is provisional until the CRB complete their checks and issue a Full Disclosure. I am hopeful that this will be issued by the end of the month. Further details will be posted here when they become available. At the beginning of October 2002, I received the full Enhanced Disclosure from the Criminal Records Bureau. In each of the four sections on the form is the phrase 'NONE RECORDED' meaning that no details of medical problems, convictions, warnings or concerns about me have been found. Should any school need to see the form I can bring it with me whenever I do supply work, or I can provide the Disclosure Number on request. A duplicate copy has been sent to Hertfordshire County Council by the CRB. Further details on the CRB can be found at the two websites listed below.
