Sylva recommend 14”x6” wheels for the Mojo.  The 2003 Mojo 2 race car used 195/60 rear tyres and 185/55 fronts to give a good balance of grip front to rear.  Customer cars are frequently using 185/55 tyres all round.  It is also feasible to use 15”x6” rims with slightly lower profile tyres to compensate- the latest Sylva demo car uses these, with 195 tyres squeezed under the arches at both the front and rear.  15”x6.5” rims are also a possibility, and are more widely available than 15”x6” (A set of Ford Focus wheels may well be the easiest way to get this size of rim?).  Some possible combinations are listed below:

1. 185/55 R14 all round

2. 185/55 R14 front, 195/60 R14 rear (2003 Sylva race car setup)

3. 185/55 R15 front, 195/55 R15 rear

4. 185/50 R15 front, 195/55 R15 rear

I ended up going with option 1, as a set of 14" wheels with 185/55 tyres came up on Ebay for £150.  However, when I swap tyres I may well go for option 2.  I have noticed that 15" tyres now tend to be cheaper than 14" tyres, so bear this in mind when making the decision (Take a look at the mytyres website to get an idea of prices).

The alloys themselves should be 'standard Ford fitment', i.e. 4 stud fixing, 108PCD, 35-38 offset & 6J width.  Certain wheels from Ka, Fiesta, Escort & Focus should fit- these often come up on Ebay.

At a later stage, I switched to 185/60 R14 Yokohama A539s.  More information here.
