Groucho is Mr. Hammer, a Florida hotel owner looking to sell overpriced land to unsuspecting buyers. Zeppo is Jamison the desk clerk at the hotel. Chico and Harpo are con men newly arrived in town. Hammer employs Chico to try and bid up the price of his dodgy land at auction. Everybody ends up trying to rip off everybody else.
