Help with Wired Networks

Although wireless is all the rage at the moment, wired networking can be much cheaper. For example if you have two computers in the same room it is possible to connect them together (and share your broadband) using a single cable without the need for any expensive equipment!

It is also possible to use wires for some computers and wireless for others and still have them all talk to each other.
