| 1.Missing
Limbs And Shattered Faith
This is a song inspired by reading about the
amount of suicides in the various war veteran communities around the world.
The figures are horrific - to the extent that there is a Vietnam War Suicide
memorial in the US. More veterans of the Falklands War have killed themselves
in the years since the 1982 conflict ended than died during hostilities,
according to a veterans support group. Less died on the battlefield than
have committed suicide. These figures will unfortunately continue to rise.
This must be an argument against our obsession with killing in the name
of defending our nations and nationality. Cannon Fodder. Who has won. x2 Crying inside all alone, 2.Lies, Lies, Lies. A song about people who are so sold on the idea of how one should live their lives as preached to by the powers that be. That everyone must do the same otherwise they are mentally ill in some way. The confusion, oppression and financial and mental rape and torture the general public face never gives up. Lies, Lies, Lies you ever say to me, Lies, there’s more to life than their lies. Constant pressures, raining down, 9 to 5 and the 2.5 and the fucking life, Stand in line, join your role, stand in line. Squirming, ritually jump through hoops, 3.Not In My Name Hail the new crusade against tyranny. Fight for freedom. What more can I say on the onslaught of imperialism. Where next? Get the maps out it’s not terribly difficult to figure out. Bombs are falling, Baghdad’s burning, Not In My Name x3 This holy war, to settle scores Hail the victors, Children laughing, 4.Born To Be Abused This song is based upon the recent exposure of facts concerning the recent terrorist attacks in London July 2005. It has recently been revealed that the families of the dead from these incidents will receive compensation in the form of £11,000.00 per person. This really opens up the debate on how one can put a cost on lives. Again it looks like we’re all fucking pawns. OK if £11,000.00 is the price for a life, is this only for civilians of certain western countries? or is this a worldwide costing? If so what is the cost of bombing a school or hospital in Iraq or Afghanistan or wherever next is on the menu? People in certain western countries get more in compensation for tripping over the pavement. Is it a fuckin’ wonder that some of us get regularly confused about some peoples viewpoint on life and freedom. There is so much more, fuck‘em. Live life, experience, learn, love, change, enjoy. They say that life is no illusion Born to be abused x 4 Birth, school, work, death More of the same, Left Right, Left Right x3 Illusion, Confusion, Frustration This frail world filled with misery 5.Thicker Than Water Everyone has lost people, friends with whom great love was shared. Friendship like all relationships is based on trust and being truthful. Trust is something that society does not provide; it’s us against them. Friends are so important to support us through times when it seems like they’ve won and when they’ve ground us down so far. Blood is thicker than water. Side by side we’re spewed unto this Blood is blood and fact is fact, that’s still
true when shit’s all cracked. Darkened voids of life’s long passages, Blood is blood, Fact is fact. 6. As the Net Closes In. This song was inspired by reading the new additions to the 2006 Terrorism Act that effectively proposes more censorship on web forums, sites and hosts. A maximum 7 year prison sentence can be handed out to those who apparently incite or promote terrorism. So marching into some-ones country and waging a campaign of liberation upon it is fine. State controlled violence is fine, right wing incitement is fine but anything else deemed to be supportive of terrorism by a agent of the law could be liable. Does it make the public reassured when a man running for a bus was mistaken as a terrorist or a family home was mistaken for a bomb factory? What does the government want from this law? This is paranoia gone mad. You talk about corrupting minds, what you fuckin’
preach is fine, Are you fuckin’ completely blind? , take a look
at the truth. Web Space, Disgrace. Web space, Fuckin’ Disgrace. Endless rustling of papers that are white, the paranoia
confuses what is wrong and what is right. Web Space, Disgrace. Web space, Fuckin’ Disgrace. What difference does this mean to the fucking right wing?
These jokers go un-noticed for purveying the real thing. Web Space…control, Disgrace Web space…control,
Fuckin’ Disgrace. 7.Liberation This is a song about the internal struggle for freedom against indoctrination from religion and society. Although the lyrics have a mythical feel to them conjuring images of “The Lord of the Rings” this is not the intent, it is merely allegorical. A way to explain that daily life for us as individuals is a war of good against evil, this evil being the messengers of religion and government. Dark clouds gather on the hills, unto
this day when blood is spilled. The forces gathered here this day, to
fight for good, so let us pray. The kingdom where this freedom exists
must be fought for with hand and fist. Blood red sky, Blood red sky, Blood red sky ,Blood red sky. 8.Black Ways of War This song was inspired by reading about the experiences of the Red Army soldiers fighting against fascism in the nightmare conditions of the eastern front during WW2. However the ideas stand as reinforcement of the notion of the hell on earth that is modern warfare. Sadly this is as relevant today and could easily describe the recent and ongoing conflicts in places such as Congo, Bosnia, Afghanistan or Iraq. In my eyes the vision stings, black ways
of war. Murder, Brutality, Bloodshed, Insanity. Charred corpses litter the field, black
ways of war. Murder, Brutality, Bloodshed, Insanity. X2 Broken bones crushed underfoot, black
ways of war. Murder, Brutality, Bloodshed, Insanity. X4 9.Stealing a Nation The story of Diego Garcia, the title is taken from a documentary by John Pilger. It details the story of the secret expulsion of the entire population of the Chagos islands in the Indian Ocean by successive British governments, so that the principal island, Diego Garcia, could be handed to the United States as a major military base. It is from this base that American aircraft have attacked Iraq and Afghanistan. Brutally removed from their ancestral home, the islanders were relocated against their will and forced to live in abject poverty while the British and American governments strengthened their economic and military relationship. Behold the horrors of the history books,
great shame for the nation of the lands we took. Sweep - Stealing a Nation . Sanitise
- Stealing a Nation x 2 For 200 years inhabitants of paradise
2000 strong exiled by trickery and lies. 10.Echoes in the Darkness This is a song of hope celebrating positive grass roots change from ordinary people across the world. People are not part of the problem they are the solution. No Governmental, NGO or official bodies will work if they do not tap into the resourcefulness and willingness of people to improve their lives and conditions of their neighbourhood. The lyrics ended up concentrating on the MST in Brazil. The landless peasants movement has settled thousands of families by taking unproductive land and founding communities against the vested interests of landowners. Blood, sweat, grain break the chain. Oppressive regimes and apathy, lead to
a stranglehold of complacency. Can you hear? With some fuckin’
intention, Blood, sweat, grain break the chain. European landowners still control our
lives, as they enslaved and raped before again and again. Oppressive regimes and apathy, lead to
a stranglehold of complacency |
