WAOC Midsummer Madness

Hinchingbrooke Park

Sat, 19th June 1999

This event took the form of a multi-map cross-country course. ie. there were 5 courses between 4.0km and 1.7km. You could run as many courses as you wished, in whatever order. Hally then devised some devious scoring system from it.

5. Bruce Marshall 120 A,D had also run at Epping earlier in the day.

Points were awarded initially on the basis of the courses run which had a loading depending on distance.. After that it was a matter of time taken.

Especial congratulations to the two who managed all 13 kms of the 5 courses, and to Les Andrews, by far the oldest competitor.

It was a pity that so few took part, but that seems par for the course for this particular event in the Club's Calendar.

I (Hally Hardie) have included this event into mid-week Galloppen results (but NOT using the points awarded above) - watch this space.
