WAOC Junior Training

24 November at Rowney Warren

[WAOC logo]

Hi to all juniors,

Another junior training session is going to be organised by Ursula and Peter and it would be nice to see as many of you there as possible. The training is going to take place after the WAOC Rowney Warren colour coded event on 24 November, starting at around 12 noon.

There will be exercises for every level :

getting a white badge,
getting better at yellow
orange skills
light green standard and above

so you should be able to find something that will be right for you.

Please arrive early to get your run in completed before 12 noon, then bring food and drink and your map to the club tent.

It would be good to know how many people are coming and which group you want to join so the training exercises can be organised to best suit you.  So could you let Peter Gardner, peter@gardner5.clara.co.uk or Blanka Sengerova bs296@cam.ac.uk know by 16 November whether you are coming and which group you want to join.

Hi all parents,

We do hope that your children will take advantage of this coaching opportunity.

Some of you have said that you need coaching as well and we have experienced orienteers and coaches who would be delighted to help by discussing that day's run, shadowing you while you re-run part of it or part of another course.  Discussing or demonstrating specific techniques e.g. contour features, pacing, running on a bearing, attack points, line features and aiming off etc.

If you would like some coaching while your kids are being coached, please e-mail Ursula Oxburgh u.oxburgh@esc.cam.ac.uk also by 16 November.
