WAOC Fixtures 2005 |
![]() |
Unless otherwise stated, our colour-coded events are Entry on the Day only. Most of our events have overprinted maps.
These events are open to all, you don't need to be a member of WAOC, or BOF to take part. (Although we do hope you'll consider joining us, and it's cheaper in the long run! You can join WAOC at the event.) Although certain events are marked as Try-O's, especially suitable for novices, beginners of all ages are welcome at all our events. For more information about what happens at an orienteering event, visit our web-page What is Orienteering?
Click on the appropriate link to obtain directions, and maybe more details and a map of the terrain. For reasons of privacy, we don't publish organiser's names and contact numbers here. If you have an enquiry about any of these events, email me, Neil Humphries and I'll forward your query, or answer it myself.

Our entry fees for colour-coded events are:
|
Independent means not a member of a recognised orienteering club.
Entry fees for events with electronic punching include a 50p levy for adults
which is paid to EAOA for the use of the
electronic punching equipment.
(NB. you cannot "opt out" of electronic punching at an event where it is used.)
If you do not have your own electronic punching "e-card", these may be hired at the event for 50p each.
Registration is from 10:00am to 12:00pm, starts are from 10:30am to 12:30pm. Colour-coded events usually have a full range of courses from White to Brown, plus a (free) string course for the very young.
Events more than three months in the future should be considered to be provisional. So check back here nearer the time for news of any late alterations or additions.
