MYMYSTIC - a potted history

MYMYSTIC A Potted History & Breeding Philosophy Our logo, the Yin/Yang kittens is my drawing of Caspar (Lilac) & Fable (Blue) at 12 weeks. They slept together like this until our beautiful Caspar died when he was only 5 years old. Our fabulous Fable passed away on 23rd Feb 2008.

Our First Tonkinese Kittens -
	.... were born on Christmas Eve 1991. Their mother, Mistry, was a blue Burmese who portrayed all of the breed's gentle and positive traits, furthermore we were no strangers to the affectionate Siamese with their unique method of self-expression - but as we came to know the Tonkinese we quickly realised just how very special they are. Mistry had seven stunning and most precocious kittens, it is without doubt the best Christmas present I've ever had.
I soon became actively involved -
	.... with attaining full recognition these cats in the UK, through my work on the committees of both the Tonkinese Breed Club and Tonkinese Breed Advisory Committee - and by breeding and showing my own cats. My prefix (cattery name) Mymystic has become quite well known among the Tonkinese and show circles - greatly thanks to the people who own my cats and show them. We are delighted to have helped the Tonkinese to Championship status here in the UK.
Our Breeding Philosophy
	We believe that the condition and temperament of our own cats is our best advertisement. Our kittens are raised in the home with the rest of the Mymystic family - who all do their share of kitten-sitting. Every kitten goes to its new home healthy, vaccinated, registered and insured. If you want one of our kittens expect to be thoroughly questioned before you are accepted - naturally you are welcome to do the same to us! We also expect you to visit the kittens at least once before coming to take one (and it’s often a pair) away from us. As a tutor of feline psychology I make great efforts to put my knowledge and experience into raising healthy and well-adjusted kittens. The price for a properly bred and registered cat is not inexpensive, but we will not charge inflated prices for our kittens
