Welcome To Our Site
Based near the heart of Swansea, Abertawe Photographic Society is an established, friendly and welcoming club, whos' members both amateur and professional all share a common interest, in all aspects of photography.
Whether you are a complete beginner or a seasoned snapper, interested in digital techniques or 35mm film, there is a warm welcome by a like minded group of people sharing in the search for the perfect image.
By sharing, not only our enthusiasm but also our skills, techniques and knowledge, we all grow as a club and by trying new things we all get the opportunity to stretch our boundaries. all members are encouraged to take part in club events such as;
Internal and external competitions, giving the opportunity to benchmark your work and get valuable advice and insight from some well respected photographers that judge the work
Photo-Shoots, both studio and on location. These are a great opportunity to hone your skills in a relaxed, social atmosphere.
Digital editing tutorials and mentoring (Photoshop). An easy way to get to grips with the PC side of digital photography even if you’re a complete novice.

We usually meet every Tues. at 7.15pm until 9.30pm in

What's Coming Up
20.03.2012 Flavour of South Australia. A selection of images coupled with an informative insight into photography form the southern hemisphere brought to life by Philipa Woods.
10.04.2012 West Cross Club join us. This is a greatly anticipated event where another local club visits to show us some of their images and we get the chance to meet the artists behind the shots.
12.06.2012 Fotospeed. A presentation by the well known photographic supplier, showcasing some of their latest products and services.
