Review: Maxim magazine

If you need evidence that lesbianism is the hottest cinematic sexual preference around, Bound proves it in spades with two babe dyke leads that will have straight male audiences panting in the back row.

Fresh out of prison, butch-but-bluff thief Corky (Gershon) takes on the job of renovating a grubby apartment. Next door lives sexily sweet Violet (Tilly) with her Mafia boyfriend Caesar (Joe Pantoliano), and Corky can't believe her luck when Violet starts giving her the eye in the lift. The girls are soon embarked on a sizzling affair, but Corky wonders whether Violet is more interested in her skills as a housebreaker than her sexual technique when Violet lets slip that Caesar has a case full of dosh sitting at home just waiting to be lifted. Cue extreme violence, nudity, pouted lips, steamy sex and stylish film technique from first-time director/writing team the Wachowski brothers, who obviously have their hearts set on being the next Coen Brothers (Fargo). Scintillating, sexy and unmissable.
