Not much is known about Stanley Lamps. The only reference I have is an advertisement from a 1922 newspaper. The advert shows a table lamp (no 210) and a "storm proof" lantern. The selling pitch is STANLEYS, the Light of the Future. 400 Candle Power, the cheapest and best.
"One lamp will illuminate a barnyard 600 feet square. 60 styles to chose from. The lights and heaters that never fail, guaranteed safe clean and economical." The address given in the advert is:

In spite of there being "60 styles to chose from" I have only ever seen two Stanley lamps. Both are table models, both carry a metal plate under the fount giving the London address, and stating "Made in the USA". This suggests that Stanley did not manufacture their own lamps and lanterns, but marketed those of another company.
Because Coleman products were marketed directly in the UK, it is likely that another major US manufacturer was involved. The most likely is the American Gas Machine Co, and there are two pieces of evidence for this association. One is that the shape of the fount and the burner assembly on one Stanley lamp is virtually identical to the AGM P67 American Parlour Lamp which was advertised as New in 1912. The other is that the Stanley advert refers to 400CP, and this is an unusual output, at least in the UK. The P66 is rated at 400CP, (and probably the P67 as well).
