Listing names of lantern and lamp manufacturers is not a simple process. Sometimes the manufacturer is known, but not the brand name used on the product, sometimes the brand name is known, but not the manufacturer. Sometimes the brand name and the manufacturer names are the same, and often a manufacturer would supply lanterns to many other market outlets for re-badging, or for sale as unmarked and unbranded products. Add to this the tendency for company names to change over the years, and the whole issue becomes rather confusing. I have favoured the use of manufacturers' names for this listing, but I do acknowledge the shortcomings of such a method. Where the makers name is not known, the brand name is shown instead in both columns. If you know about other makers not on this list - please let me know by clicking here to access the mail page.
