The history and origins of the St Albans Go club are lost in the mists of time, but most recently our membership and equipment has come from the Hemel Hempstead & Stevenage clubs - which are not operating at this time.

Our current venue, the White Lion in St Albans, is a quiet pub with good beer in Sopwell Lane.
Prior to that we met in the Mermaid which served us well until the decibel level of the resident band (Mojo) exceeded the threshold of pain - although they did produce an awesome rendition of "Little Red Rooster".

We have been at the White Lion now for in excess of a year, and look forward to attracting new members to this friendly pub.
Although we may give the appearance of a gentleman's drinking club, we welcome newcomers and players of both sexes and all ages.
