Thor is a huge eight year old 16.1 Vanner type gelding. He is responsible for encouraging the whole family to ride. He enjoys clicker training, ridden showing classes and playing with the other horses. Despite his heavy build, Thor really enjoys jumping small fences and will follow you without any leads attached over jumps if you play with him.

Thor is absolutely superb in that he seems to recognize when a child or novice rider is on his back. He can be slow, gentle and very safe but will speed up and express his true collected paces with more confident riders.

NEWS- MAY 2006

Thor has enjoyed a few months break but is now being brought back into training. We are hoping to enter some coloured classes over the summer, both ridden and in-hand. Before clicker training Thor we had little success during in-hand classes as Thor refused to trot in hand. Although he is stunning, the horse is required to walk and trot during an in-hand class to show his paces. Naturally Thor would lose marks for this. He is now more than co-operative to do so and we are hoping to try this out this year in the show ring.
