Smarty has now moved to a new home. See News below.

Smarty was our old 11 hh Welsh Dun Section A type gelding. He was very gentle and easy to manage. He liked clicker training and playing with the other male horses although he enjoyed a special relationship with Lulu. Smarty was a 3 year old stallion when we bought him. He was very easy to handle, lead, load and trim his feet. He was very lovable and you would only notice he was a stallion when Lulu came into season. He was only gelded as our daughter Taylor wanted to ride him at local shows and that was not possible whilst he was entire.

Smarty was taught to pick up things for a clicker treat. He sometimes picked up objects to bring to you just in case he got a reward. He also loaded himself in and out of our horse trailer if we left the ramp down for him and also walked up to you to be groomed if he saw you grooming one of the other horses. He enjoyed grooming so much that he would stand untethered while you brushed him or picked out his feet.

He was easily ridden by Taylor who was only 8 when she sat on him for the first time. He just stood and waited for her to get comfortable in the saddle.

NEWS- MAY 2006

Smarty has now been sold on to a new home. He has gone to a wonderful family who love him dearly. He was only sold as he was not being ridden enough and our daughter Taylor had grown too big for him. We wanted him to find an owner who would bring him on and love and care for him and we did. We stay in touch with his new owners and he is doing very well. He is enjoying pony club and is even doing cross country and one day events. What a fantastic pony!!
