NEWS

 

The Cricketers, Wyndham Road, Bournemouth was awarded Spring Pub of the Season in a close vote at our April meeting. See feature on page 3.

 

Moon in the Square Beer Festival, The Square, Bournemouth, 2-10 August, 6 Breweries, 12 Ales, all at £1.75 per pint—Worth a visit!!

 

Bankes Arms Beer Festival, Studland, probably the best location for a beer festival and this onemust be the biggest in Dorset; dont miss out, its on 12-16th August this year!

 

Wimborne Beer Festival. Date for the diary: 10th & 11th October

Inn on the Quay, Poole has closed, but The Ox, Shillingstone is refurbished and back in business.

 

Summer Pub of the Season

At our June meeting we asked for nominations for

Summer pub of the year, they are: Drax Arms,

Spetisbury; Brunswick, Charminister; King’s

Arms, Wareham; Bermuda Triangle, Parkstone;

The Railway and The Dolphin, both in Blandford.

Voting will take place at our next meeting.
