Studio Group

The Studio Group covers most aspects of Portraiture. We meet in our new venue - the West End Neighbourhood Centre, which is on Andrewes Street at the bottom of Hinckley Road, near its junction with Narborough Road. Turn off Hinckley Road opposite ‘Po Wing’ into the road with the Richmond pub on the corner.

Studio Dates
We meet once or twice a month on Tuesdays from October 2007 to March 2008 - see the notice board for details and to book for any of the meetings. If you want to know more about the group have a word with John Walls.

Membership of the group is £7 for the season, plus a small charge for each event.

Equipment A basic electronic flash outfit may be borrowed by members. It consists of 2x Bowens Prolite82 heads, stands, flashmeter, brollies, softbox, reflector and honeycomb. An extra Prolite or Bowens Monospot and a choice of paper or canvas backgrounds plus stand is also available. Please note the trigger voltage of the club Bowens is 15volts. The borrower must have been a member for at least one season, and be familiar with the operation of the system. The loan period is up to one week, providing the equipment is not required by the Studio Group or other users. Arrangements should be made with the Equipment Manager, Jim Knight. A donation to club funds for the loan would be appreciated.
