With it's distinctive black and white striped head the Badger can be found throughout the countries of the South Pacific, living in woodlands, mountains, towns, sea cliffs and roadsides, inhabiting landscapes from the Northern tip of The Ancient Contemporary Kingdom of Scatania to the South coast of The Holy Empire of Kloister. A quarter of the population can be found in the heavily forested area of the South-West of Kloister. Another quarter of the population on the Northern fringes of Scatania. Small populations of Badgers are found in other South Pacific nations, including The Paranoid Republic of Fidei Defensor, The Holy Guacomole of Fudgetopia, The Naked States of Sun Worship, The Democratic Republic of HutSutRaw, The Theocracy of Zepowa and The Queendom of The Good Lady.

The Badgers were introduced in the eighteenth century for sport (WHICH HAS SINCE BEEN OUTLAWED). The Badger population is witnessing a recovery due largely to the increasing activities of the World Institute for Badger Affairs (WIBA) and its supporters within the South Pacific, who have contributed to changes in legislation which have led to further protection of Badgers. The Badgers Act 1992 gave legal protection to badgers and their setts and it is now an offence to disturb or ill-treat them.
