Thomas Howard
Born 25th January 1895 in either Braintree or Leighton Buzzard or failing them somewhere else.
His mother may have been Margaret Brown or at least had the surname of Brown.
His father is unknown bit may have had the surname of Howard.
He was sent to Nottingham in the very early 20th century to be schooled at Blue Bell Hill and brought up by his aunt (his mothers sister I presume) E. (Elizabeth) S. Brown who was the head teacher.
At certain times another Aunt, Alice Brown also lived there.
Family folklore has had it that he had the surname of Brown from birth and later changed it to Howard for unknown reasons but this may not be true as there is a postcard addressed to him as Thomas Howard from 1906 when he would have been about 10 or 11.
Thomas aged about 10 in Nottingham (I presume)
Is this his 2 Aunts Elizabeth and Alice Brown in Coddicote in the early 30's?
Is this Elizabeth, Alice and another sister maybe (Thomas's mum)??
