The Beacon Hill Virtual Tour

To the Left is a picture of the observatory. The dome containing the telescope (below) in the foreground and the meeting room towards the back. The whole observatory is a tribute to the leadership of the founder, Barry Watts, who now runs Beacon Hill Telescopes and will build any telescope to order. PCT began repainting the dome during the summer of 2001.
This picture taken from the doorway to the dome shows the society's 16" telescope. The telescope is a dual Cassegrain and Newtonian telescope. Much work has been done to adapt the telescope to the rigorous requirements of digital imaging. Digital setting circles have been added which is greatly improving the acquisition of "deep sky" objects.
To the left is a picture taken from the back of the meeting room. Towards the back of the picture is the stage when slides are projected during the monthly meetings.
To the right are some of our members chatting after one of the Wednesday meeting nights.
