Pictures Taken with the CCD Camera

 

The following are a few pictures taken with our Starlight Express SXL8 CCD camera. Click on the icon to view a larger version.

Orion nebula with artificially tinted colour. M101 - Addition of 2 pairs of averaged images, exposure 3 mins
A view of the North Eastern part of the moon, with the Montes Alpes cut through by the path of a meteorite called the Vallis Alpes.

Viewing conditions were particularly good. Taken at prime Newtonian focus with a x2 converter, during the Winter of  1999 with particularly steady atmospheric conditions
