Friends

VeloVentoux Cycling holidays in the south of France, near Mont Ventoux. Craig & Vicky can tailor a trip for you, highly recommended.

Films

Overcoming Team CSC take on the 2004 TdF, rather confusingly told, but very interesting.

Hell on Wheels An epic insight into what riding the tour is all about, fantastic photography.

Books

The Escape Artist, Matt Seaton. A poignant story that I (Mark) pretty much read from cover to cover.

Tour de Force (Lance Armstrong's War in the US). The best book I have read about LA and all that. Bit too much on Sheryl Crow, but fascinating stuff.

French Revolutions Obviously very apt, but also a very very funny book full of typical British self-depracating humour - a must read.

The Rider Almost as if you are in the race yourself, a classic.

Breaking The Chain Not Shakespeare, but it shines a light on drug use in the pro peloton and it makes for chilling reading. 'Pot Belge' for breakfast anyone ?

YouTube Clips (a nod due to the April issue of Cycle Sport magazine for most of these )

Kraftwerk's Tour de France Great tune and cool video, some of the helicopter shots in the mountains are stunning. Kraftwerk are cycling obsessed, you can buy TdF jersey's from their Kling Klang site.

The older version of Tour de France

Indurain cracks in the '96 TdF - epic moment in cycling history. "Has he got a problem ?"......"no no no............legs".

Indurain destroys Armstrong in an ITT Lance was world champion at the time and shifting himself, however Big Mig is in overdrive.

Jan Ullrich dominating in the mountains, reputedly the highest power output ever on a TdF mountain stage at 474 watts (Thanks Dave_1)

Lance Armstrong on l'Alpe d'Huez 2001, involves 'the look'.

Amateur footage of Armstrong and Pantani wheel to wheel on Mont Ventoux in 2000. Looking beyond the very animated chap in the video, it's another legendary moment in cycling history and seen from a different angle.

George Hinacapie riding into a ditch in the 2002 edition of Paris-Roubaix.

Cobbles Baby ! trailer. Not seen this DVD, but might have to purchase.

The Gavia, Giro d'Italia 1988. They'd never allow that sort of thing these days....those guys were nails.

Cycling, moments to remember A great montage of classic moments in cycling set to Johnny Cash.

Roche ! Stephen Roche's astonishing come-back at La Plagne, 1987. Legendary commentary from Phil Liggett. Serious oxygen administration after that ride.

Water bottle throwing in a bunch sprint....... enough said.

Ramon Arrieta v Leonardo Sierra, 1995 Vuelta, handbags at point blank range.

Jeroen Blijlevens v Bobby Julich 2000 TdF skirmish.
