Kyle's Training
Update ! A cat and Kyle's bike collide with unfortunate results....see the news section. Kyle's training is normally consistent with that of a seasoned triathlete - loads then. Let's also hope he doesn't fail a random fitness test and is drummed out of the tour in shame for over-preparing. Here's a view of what Kyle has previously been up to. 29.04.07 - 105 miles in the mountains of West Virginia and the Monongahela National Forest. Plateau de Beille it was not, but plenty hard riding and the legs are starting to respond. 225 watts avg for the 6.5+ hours in the saddle. 19.03.07 - Rode the Blue Ridge Mountains on the weekend, 50-60 miles was an inspiration for more training. Took on a 7% climb for five miles which was very tough, but it's a long road back from injury and this is a great start. The Injury
The plan is still on though, he just will have to play catch up in the Spring. He philosphically advises he is at least better off than his dog that has just had his hip replaced. Kyle is now resting his hopes in this latest purchase, not sure it is strictly within the rules though
Kyle is now wearing a 'walking cast' and spurred on by unavoidable signs of proper training from co-riders, decided to take action. I'll hand over to Kyle to explain : "I figured something must be done about all this inactivity.
