Ray Giles and Les Keen are anxious to collect the names of you 'old players'. Get in touch with us via sites, 'Main' or 'Membership' and we will do the rest. Gareth Gange can be reached on the main site. On your Members site have a look at 'Former Players'!

We have a letter from Les Keen mapping out how interested we are in contacting these players with the intention of forming a 'Past Players Club'. Have a look at the letter!

We have had a marvellous response to the letters sent out to a good number of past players. Keep in touch with the Aberavon Sites! If you want to know more contact the Club representatives, Les Keen & Ray Giles.

Richard Morris equalled the Aberavon try-scoring record during his testimonial match with Neath at the Talbot Athletic Ground. This special game between the old rivals - which Neath won 48-29 - was struck to recognise the loyalty of Morris, a former Neath player, who has played 377 times for the Wizards, scoring 128 tries.

A full report can be seen on the Main Site fixture menu.

It should be of interest to all members of the old Aberavon lottery that the scheme is still in operation, although in a different format. The stakes are higher and the future is good. It could be as little as £5-00 per month and you will be contributing to your own Aberavon Rugby club - just like the old days.

If you have a message to show or a story to tell we can display it on this site. You could be world famous for a whole week!

For full details about the Aberavon RFC Lottery and the '200 Club' contact John Rees. Click on SEASONS on the menu to get full particulars.

Have a look at the New Shop Page! It is best viewed on Windows Explorer.

For an in depth report, visit the Gareth Gange Wizards' Web Site. All the results are there. Don't miss it!

Aberavon 17 - 48 London Welsh LONDON Welsh chose Aberavon’s Talbot Athletic Ground as the place to make their debut as a full-time professional outfit and, though both clubs were missing up to 10 squad members each, it was the Exiles who were clearly better and stronger, romping to a 48-17 win. “We are out to promote Welsh rugby and this has helped set a pointer,” said London Welsh director of rugby Martin Jones. “It was competitive and Aberavon may have just shaded the third and last of the periods today.” Despite being without their three Fijian stars the Exiles had two splendid trialist wingers in Joe Ajukja and England under-20 World Cup finalist Mark Odejobi. But, the try of the match was the solo by scrum half Alix Walker, the former Dragon, while centre Aaron Hopkins also scored a classy effort among their seven touchdowns. Veteran Richard Morris came on late to inspire an Aberavon fightback and wing Chris Lewis (2) and prop Anthony Edwards went over for tries, while Rory Gallagher and Paul Bamsey worked hard. Report from Wales on Sunday.
