Well, we tried to oust our close neighbours at the Gnoll over the Christmas period but the small margin of three points ,in their favour, made sad news for the Wizards. We all hope you had the proverbial Happy Christmas and that you are looking forward to the remainder of the season and the exciting games still on the rugby calendar. One or two games are outstanding and will have to be re-arranged as soon as possible. We are away to Beddau in the B & I Cup on the 16th of Jan 2010. Keep checking the sites!
It is interesting to see the fixtures for the British and Irish Cup have already been penciled in to the Aberavon fixture list for the forthcoming season. I am sure that the encounters will generate a great deal of enthusiasm amongst our members. Our next game is against Moseley on Friday 12th Feb at the Talbot Athletic ground.
We have a wealth of members and friends who can contribute their knowledge and expertise on various matters concerning the game of Rugby Union Football. Our staunch supporters Harry Morgan & John Edwards have agreed to research Bryn Phillips the Aberavon player.
We are back to the realistic task of maintaining our run in the Swalec Cup competitions. This match against Cross Keys is on Saturday February 20th and the Kick Off is 2-30 pm.
