SHISKINE - CHURCH OF SCOTLAND
Welcome to our page. St Molios Church is often referred to locally as the 'Red Kirk' and is dedicated to a 7th century saint who lived as a hermit in a cave on Holy Island. Our times of worship vary and visitors are most welcome to share worship with this friendly congregation. The minister is Rev. Barry Knight, and attached Reader Mrs Jean Hunter. The charge was enlarged by Presbytery with effect from 1st September 2002 to include Shiskine linked with Lochranza and Pirnmill linked with Lamlash.
The minister lives in Shiskine Manse and the Reader in Lamlash Manse.
APRIL 6th to SEPTEMBER 21st: 11.45am
SEPTEMBER 28th to End of MARCH 2004: 10.00am
All Evening Services are at 7.00pm
Our morning service is the traditional form of worship, whilst the evening service is charismatic, with praise, shared prayer, and occasionally a sketch, musical items and guest speaker. Visitors are most welcome to join the congregation at both services which are followed by refreshments in the John Robertson Hall adjoining the church.
