Gwyn ap NuddAncient British God & Hero
Welcoming the Hero!
Visitors who enter this site are welcome to explore the pages associated with Gwyn ap Nudd and an British ancient past. Particularly for the young ones, Raising Gods & Heroes provides games and stories to encourage play and the traditions of story telling.
Though Gwyn’s name has to date been omitted from Tor Signage, his long association with the sacred hill can be explored in Gwyn's Kingdoms. Delving deeper, as if going down into the Tor itself, you can meet the Gwyn/Hero in you by working through the The Gwynvyd Method. In an appreciation of his 13 main titles (Lord of Shadows, Lord of Darkness, Lord of Death, ..... Hunting, Constellation, Serpents, War, Love etc, this section can be applied as a personal programme for developing awareness.
Gwynapnudd.com began as a presentation of a major Archetypal Hero and has enlarged into a celebration of a once revered and Ancient British God. In several millenniums Gwyn ap Nudd's total representation may have become less valued in the conscious mind, but even reduced to the size of a wee fairy today, he is still King! As the Gwynvyd Method explains how we can look at generally accepted things differently, we can use models like Gwyn to affect our outlook on life and make an engagement with our own heroic archetype! Whilst it is true heroes are associated with bravery, it is also true anyone can find courage to change their own life. By discovering personal strengths and developing awareness, a better quality of life can be experienced and enjoyed for what it is.
With Life and Death always following each other, the ancients gained strength in accepting Death could not be cheated by holding onto Life but that Life could be held onto whilst living it with honour.
As it is with honour there is awareness, it is with awareness there is all!
