Kat plays violin and viola in a variety of musical disciplines. Classically trained at the age of nine, went on to travel the globe after leaving school, taking her fiddle with her. She has played in diverse bands and genres of music such as heavy rock, traditional folk, jazz, Irish-based and country, along side orchestral and ensemble groups.

She is the violist with the Intermezzo String Quartet, for whom she also arranges the music.

A new venture in the form of a contemporary classical quintet, namely ‘JUTA’, by a local composer, is making its debut this spring, 2006.

When Kat is not plucking or sawing the strings, she is a freelance artist in painting, mixed media, textiles and pottery.
