Dion Fortune lived a remarkable life in a world which was very diffent from the one we live in now and which was changing just as it is now.
Her life spanned the two world wars, just before the world order changed and when the class system was still prevalent. Her books need to be read with this in mind, but they still contain a huge treasure chest of jewels of Understanding and Wisdom for all students of all Paths of Light. Her spiritual path weaves through different phases like the moon and are reproduced in the many books she wrote. Unlike most esoteric writers, she used the novel extensively to portray the work she was actually doing in real life. She was a spiritualist medium, a shaman, an esoteric Christian, an Egyptian priestess, a magician."May the blessing of her Spirit inspire us in our Work and Life"
I first encountered Dion Fortune through her novels which are beautifully written and contain much magical and spiritual knowledge and wisdom. The Sea Priestess and Moon Magic are two novels which are very special to me and an ideal introduction to her Life and Work.
