Exhibition layout I constructed this exhibition layout early in 2003 and had its first outing to Nuneaton ttrca show in that year and at Banbury at Easter 2004
The layout measured over 10ft x 5ft and built on 3 base boards each measuring just over 5ft x 3 ft something for transportation
2 main lines ran around the outside with 2 shunting yards also an inner track with a passing loop
6 trains in theory could run at once but in practice 3 was too many
These old rails struggle to pass the current around the layout so plenty of power supplies
Although we did enjoy this layout it was too big for the house and garage it ended up being stored away for 2 or 3 years
Although this exhibition layout was ambitious it was impractical and was taken apart late 2005.
