Brief School history

I was brought up and educated in Nottingham receiving 10 ‘O’ levels and CSEs as well as ‘A’ Level Theatre Studies.
Whilst I am primarily a percussionist, in my younger years I received grades for Trumpet and Trombone and performed extensively for the School Concert Bands prior to becoming their drum and percussionist.

 

Teaching Experience

I have been teaching Drum kit and percussion privately and within schools since 1991.

-Drum Kit Tutor at the ‘Academy of Sound’ Nottingham and Derby.

-Drum Kit Tutor at the ‘Nottingham Drum Centre’.

-Percussion Director for the Rushcliffe Schools Gala Festival two years running.

-World Percussion Tutor at Nottingham Music School since 1998.

I have also taken part in a course run through the Y.O.S (young offenders scheme) via Charnwood Arts, Leicester, enabling me to facilitate in this field.

I regularly work as a freelance drummer/ percussionist on the Nottingham, Birmingham and Manchester circuit.
