Updated 14 November 2009

Started in April 2004, with a view to keeping its members up to date with Club activities, the South Pennine Boat Club’s web site was also intended to introduce the Boat Club to other boaters or individuals with similar interests, who may know little of the clubs existence.

Over the past few years, the web site has evolved and this latest makeover of the site (May 2008), is an attempt to improve the site’s presentation in time to celebrate the opening of the Club House Extension. It also adds some more features to the site and brings it up to date with the latest software technology.

On the “About Us page can be found a brief history of the Club, together with a selection of Photographs showing past Club Social Events, Working Parties and the building of the Club House extension.

A list of Officials and Representatives, together with their email address’s, is available on the “Contacts page and connections to other web sites, of similar interest, can be found on the “Links page.

The “Where are we page provides an interactive map, showing the location of the club and places of interest to those who may visit the area by car or boat.

The What’s onpage is designed to keep Members up to date with the Club’s active Social & Working Party Calendar.

Members who wish to advertise their Boat or Canal Ware for sale, can do so on the “For Sale page.

S.P.B.C. Members are also able to Login to the site to view the Members pages. These provide additional information for members, such as Clubs Rules, a list of Members and the availability of the Dry Dock to mention just a few of its features.

The S.P.B.C. web site is continually evolving, so keep an eye on any changes to the site via the “What’s New” page
