Option J - Nursling Station |
|
|
In the Adnac Park Travel Plan (4.4.9) no investigation has taken place of the benefits of reopening Nursling station. This railway line is part of the The Three Rivers rail partnership and a railway station in Nursling would give more travel options to commuters. There appear to be two possible sites:- 1. Close to the Tesco Distribution site, with apparent vacant land that could be used for a Park & Ride. This would also be adjacent to the bridleway link to the north part of Adnac park (see option C) 2. Another site could be in Test Lane close to the B&Q roundabout. This option could be served by a bus link, and also an improved pedestrian/cycle route to Adnac Park (see option A)
