 Mustard Tree Original: £230 The text for this image comes from the Biblical passage found in Matthew 13:31-32. The mustard tree represents the kingdom of heaven, which was to grow from a tiny seed into something huge. I wanted to put birds of all colours and shapes in the tree, because God's provision is for the whole world in all its diversity, not just a small flock of the local sparrows. I also had in mind a local Christian charity which takes its name from this parable, which provides in practical ways for homeless people, asylum seekers and other people who need help.
