CHINESE MASSAGE AND ACUPRESSURE; TU'I NA

Tu'i Na is a  part of the traditional healing techniques of China. In common with other elements of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) it takes its starting point from the theory of Chi circulation, and aims to restore this to a balanced, harmonious flow.

Tu'i Na employs a wide variety of techniques to achieve its goals; massage strokes to various parts of the body, through clothing  or directly on to the skin using oils and powder; pressure to Acupoints and Meridian Channels to stimulate the free flow of energy; stretches and manipulations  are all used. Diagnoses is made according to traditional Chinese methods and treatment programmes developed based on TCM principles.
Tu'i Na can be used to treat a wide range of problems, or can simply be enjoyed as a relaxing and centering experience. It is an holistic system that can diagnose and treat all aspects of the individual as appropriate.

I am available for treatments by appointment; the first session usually lasts about one and a half hours.  Hours; more than one session may be necessary and subsequent sessions normally last between half and one hour. Charges are on a sliding scale of £20-£30 per session.

I also teach elements of this system alongside T'ai Chi and Chi Kung, see Healing arts Course
