Mike is a Software Engineer working in Cambridge.  He enjoys fiddling with Hi-fi equipment and home computing (games, home accounts etc).
	Alice used to work in Cambridge as an administrator.  Alice gave up work about 5 years ago to have Ellen and has been a housewife and mother ever since. Recently, she has started work again.
	Ellen (the Boss) is a very bossy 5 year old (born 26th July 1995) who is growing up fast. She likes playing with teddy bears and fluffy bunnies (has a huge collection of teddies as well) and is now a Windows 95 expert. She is now in Year 1 at school and helps feed Meg, the family cat (see below).
	Meg is our new 2 year old family cat who has a hard time fending off Ellen. Favourite place: anywhere resembling a bed.
