FAQ
Here are some answers to common questions
Q: How do I become Christian?
A: Put your faith and trust in Jesus Christ.
This will involve repenting (turning from) your old behaviour patterns (of putting yourself first and getting caught up in sinful behaviour) and putting your faith and trust in Jesus Christ. Starting to follow Jesus.
Jesus Christ came to earth about 2000 years ago, he is God’s Son and although he was put to death on a cross, God raised Him from the dead. So that even today we can know and meet with Jesus.
Come along to one of our events, call us, or come along to one of the Churches to find out more about Jesus. After all how can you have faith in someone you don’t even know.

Q: I’m a Christian, but I don’t go to Church. After all why should I?
A: You can’t be a Christian alone, it’s not possible, you need to be with other Christians. There are so many styles of Church in Hartlepool you are sure to find one you feel at home in.

Q: I’m a good person, so won’t God just accept me anyway?
A: God made the world perfect, but people chose to go away from God. We were left distant from God, caught up in our own sinful ways. All we had to look forward to was the certainty of death. But God so loved the world that he sent his only son that whoever believes in him should not die but have eternal life. Jesus was sent by God to take the consequence of our behaviour. Jesus died in our place so that we can have eternal life with God. It’s an amazing fact and we can be truly free and at peace with God. But Jesus is the only way for us to be at peace with God. There is no other way.
