Didn't we have a wonderful time, the day we went to Portsmouth.

The 1st of August 2002 saw the McMillan's of Reading clamber aboard Hazel's car and toodle off to Portsmouth to meet up with the family from the South Island (Isle 'o' Wight). (Clicking on any photo will reward you with an enlarged view.)

'Twas a beautiful day for such an outing and so, having sorted out a plan of campaign in the coffee bar,

we took a photo or two

and then, the aim was to meet up at the harbour after some shopping and, having eaten,

   we all (Fran, Peter & Lucy plus Chris, Hazel & Mike McMillan) felt it wise to engage in a healthy walk whilst taking in the views along the harbour wall.

  we then had to decide which way?

A walk around the harbour convinced us that it was worth taking our cameras along ...

Hazel and Lucy had wanted to have this tootsie dipping for a long time ...

having had a dip, Hazel decided she had better check trading with her broker ...

I don't want my photo taken!  Oh yes you do! 

     "I tell you what, I'll buy you that ice cream when my boat comes in ..."

Ferry Nuff!

After all that walking, perhaps a rest is in order before going home.
