You are visitor:- OUR MEETINGS are held weekly at The Cathedral Centre 17 Minster Yard Lincoln LN2 1PX at 7.30pm on Tuesday evenings for most of the year. New members are always welcome, just come along to try us out for a few weeks before deciding if you wish to join THE AIM of the club is to share the knowledge and experience we have of photography amongst all our members in a friendly atmosphere and, when required, to encourage an interest in photography in the local area by various events and exhibitions. OUR PROGRAMME of weekly meetings includes:-
LECTURES on photography and allied subjects.
PRACTICAL EVENINGS usually run by club members on picture taking and producing prints as well as techniques and computer tips & tricks to get the best from digital images using Photoshop or a similar program
COMPETITIONS are regularly held amongst our members for both prints and projected digital images. Additionally the club is affiliated to county and regional photographic organisations giving the opportunity for inter-club competitions and visits as well
EXHIBITIONS of members’ work are held several times a year, the main one being in Lincoln Central Library.
History The club was started in 1925 and has run continuously through the days of black & white film developing and printing followed by colour processing using all the available processes, to the present day when most of our members have embraced digital photography. So there is a wealth of knowledge and experience in the club.
