Woodturner – Mike Pearson

Unique designs in English and Exotic woods.

Woodturning has always been an interest of mine, but I finally purchased a Myford Mystro lathe in 2001. I then joined the Louth Wood Turners group and gained valuable experience from the various demonstrations and lectures until its closure in 2004. The Louth group had several well-known members such as Ginger Sargent, Martin Pigeon and Len Grantham, who were always willing to give advice on all aspects of turning. I also attended several day workshops given by internationally recognised turners such as Jimmy Clewes.

My work has been exhibited throughout Lincolnshire and I specialise in turning bowls, particularly offset and coloured.

I have been exhibiting since 2002 including:

  • North East Lincolnshire Council ‘Present’ exhibitions
  • Grainthorpe Art Exhibition from 2005
  • Gighouse Gallery, Market Rasen
Much of my work to date has been sold to private commissions.
