Previously Principal Planner with Sheffield City Council and Senior Researcher
with Sheffield City Housing Department.
Publications and research include work on low cost home ownership, women
and planning, gender mainstreaming, public consultation and accessible housing
and planning aid for people with disabilities. Also interested in developing
and assessing student evaluations of new teaching techniques and approaches.
Convenor of the Royal Town Planning Institute Equal Opportunities Panel,
Member of Editorial Board of Planning Practice and Research and Women in Property.
Teaching and thesis supervision interests: planning for people, equal
opportunities, gender mainstreaming, development planning, planning management
and planning aid.
Outside interests include travel.
